The rules in detail
Lotofácil draws 15 numbers out of 25, so more than half of the board comes up in every draw. A player marks between 15 and 20 numbers on the slip. There is no bonus ball and no separate number; the 15 drawn numbers are the whole result.
The cheapest play is the 15-number bet at R$ 3.50, and the jackpot figure of 1 in 3,268,760 on this page belongs to that bet. Marking 16 to 20 numbers is allowed, and those larger bets carry their own price and odds.
CAIXA Econômica Federal runs the game under the name Loterias CAIXA. Its November 2026 schedule has draws from Monday to Friday starting at 21:00 and on Sunday starting at 11:00. The days themselves can shift from one week to the next, so the official calendar is the reference.
Contest 1 of the series was held on 29 September 2003, with 15 numbers drawn. The official page gives no date for any later rule change.
